A Science Communication Module Is Now Running in 62 Government Schools
Co-designed with teachers in Rajasthan, the eight-week module trains students to evaluate a claim before sharing it.
An eight-week science communication module developed with teachers in Chittorgarh and Udaipur districts is now running in 62 government schools, reaching roughly 7,400 students.
The module is deliberately unglamorous. Students learn to locate a claim's original source, distinguish correlation from causation, and identify what evidence would change their mind. There is no lab equipment involved and no cost to the school.
Early assessment data from the pilot cohort showed a meaningful improvement in students' ability to identify unsupported claims in text — the effect held four months after the module ended.
The full curriculum is published openly and can be adapted by any school. Alumni who want to facilitate a cohort can register their interest through the community platform.
