Achievers Dialogues 2026: Celebrating Living Bridges of Indo-UK Educational Partnerships
The fourth edition closed in Delhi after covering the length and breadth of India, bringing together British Council, UK universities and 400 alumni.
Achievers Dialogues 2026 wrapped up this month after a nine-city run that took the programme from Chennai to Chandigarh. Built in partnership with the British Council and eleven UK universities, the series set out to answer a deceptively simple question: what actually happens to a student after they return home?
Across the nine sessions, 412 alumni spoke on record about the years immediately after their degree — the funding gaps, the visa cliffs, the quiet difficulty of translating an international qualification into an Indian career. Those testimonies are now being compiled into a policy brief for the Department of Science and Technology.
The most consistent finding was also the least surprising. Alumni who had access to a single, sustained mentoring relationship in their first two years back reported markedly better outcomes than those who did not — in job placement, in research continuity, and in whether they stayed in the sciences at all.
The Foundation will run the fifth edition across six cities from August, with registration opening to community members first. Chapter leads in each city are being recruited now.
